In First Government Junior College in Kovuru Launches Website – The New Indian Express

VIJAYAWADA: TNC Government Junior College (TNCGJC) in Kovuru Village, Nellore District has become the first of 472 junior colleges in the state to launch its own website. The website — tncgjckovur.in — was launched on September 5 to mark Teachers’ Day. The initiative was taken up by Principal SA Sikindar with the support of the College Alumni Association.

Currently, the college has 400 students enrolled in six different groups MPC, BiPC, CEC and three occupational groups – Civil Engineering Technician, Automotive Mechanical Technician, and Electrical and Electronic Technician.

The website displays details of GOs and lab facilities, lecturers, fee details, NSS, Nadu-Nedu updates, internal committee, career and orientation advice and updates. update of the college’s Junior Red Cross program. Currently, seven Nandu-Nedu components are in progress at the college and all updates, work progress have been updated on the website. The college also plans to upload full details regarding students, beneficiaries of Amma Vodi and other government programs. Parents’ committee chairman P Vimala said the college’s website will serve as a global platform to showcase students’ ideas and work. “Students are happy to see their ideas and contributions on the website,” Vimala added.

Ch Rishitha, who is studying CEC junior, said they were surprised to learn that only their college has its own website. She said it is a good platform to expose their hidden talents and study materials will also be available there.

A former member, LMF Prem Kumar Babu said that at the request of the director, a committee consisting of P Suresh Kumar Reddy, C Narayana Reddy, Dhanunjaya Reddy, K Srinivasulu spent `12,000 on designing the website. Now, many junior colleges across the state are planning to launch their own websites.
Principal SA Sikindar said, “All reputable colleges maintain the website, so I thought why not a government institution.”
