SDNY COURTHOUSE, May 16 — Luigi Abreu, a blind person, has sued Beauty-Lab LLC for having an allegedly inaccessible website, seeking to turn it into a class action lawsuit.

On May 16, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge Lewis J. Liman, held a conference. Inner City Press has it covered.

Judge Liman questioned why the proposed case management plan indicated that the parties did NOT confer under Rule 26(f).

He said it was necessary. The lawyer apologized and said it wouldn’t happen again.

Other than that, the case management plan was approved.

The case is Abreu v. Beauty-Lab LLC, 22-cv-1297 (Liman)
